In 2024, the state of Brandenburg presented Germany in Estonia (Saksa Kevad) as part of the ‘German Spring’ series of events. As part of this, a delegation of Brandenburg stakeholders in sustainable development travelled to Estonia from 18 to 20 September 2024. There they had intensive, cordial and open discussions with the administration and civil society and visited projects to exchange information about Estonian and Brandenburg sustainability activities.

The delegation was able to see for themselves that Estonia is making great efforts to drive forward the ecological transformation despite its limited financial resources and its exposed location on the edge of Europe. Conversely, the Estonian partners were impressed by the expertise of the Brandenburg delegation participants in the field of sustainable development.

The participants held out the prospect of various follow-up activities, such as invitations to the Estonian partner organizations to events in Brandenburg.

The presentations of the Estonian dialogue partners and the travel reports of the Brandenburg delegation participants published here offer exciting insights into sustainable development in Estonia.
